Christmastime Is Here -- Happiness and Cheer!

The Christmas spirit has been slow in reaching me for some reason this year. I think mostly because I've been in denial for so long that it's becoming winter, so I've been taking everything really slow. Which has been great, because then I wake up and it's almost 2012, while I feel like it should still be November. (I'm pretty good at tricking myself when I really need to.)

The problem with waking up halfway through December is that you realize if you don't get into the Christmas spirit NOW, you're not going to have much more time to! So this year, I was kind of thrown into the Christmas spirit by necessity, and now that I have the festive bug, I'm really enjoying it. So we got our Christmas tree last night in order to enjoy it for the next 1.5 weeks before we leave for the Palmetto State.

It's a baby tree (we didn't find it prudent to spend $45 on a tree that we'd look at for 10 days), but it's very cute and endearing. And here is some documentation of our evening - for nostalgia and posterity and stuff.
